Nails Inc "Raphael Street"

Hello dears! I have short and sweet a NOTD post for you today :)

Two coats of Nails Inc "Raphael Street", a navy jelly packed with very fine bronzey gold glitter (the glitter does actually shift to green at an angle, but I failed to photograph it - doh!), with a generous layer of thick top coat (it is fairly thirsty):

Dollish Polish "Starlite"

Hello friends, how are you? I recently placed an order for a delightful little Dollish Polish duo, and they arrived today (having seemingly been held hostage by US customs for almost a week), so I have the first of them to show you in this blog post.

Dollish Polish "Starlite" is a milky white "crelly" base with shiny metallic, rainbow-coloured hexagon glitters. Formula was awesome - the base is possibly the most perfect milky white base I've experienced so far - pigmented enough to cover really nicely in two coats whilst still retaining that squishy, translucent look. The glitters required no fishing or placement, and they didn't clump on the brush either. To put it simply, application was effortless.

Pictures all show two coats of "Starlite" with base and top coat:

As you may - or may not, depending on your age - realise from the name, this polish was inspired by "Rainbow Brite", and I think it captures that spirit perfectly. What do you think?

Nails Inc "The Hurlingham" NOTD

Today's nail of the day is one of my favourite polishes of all time. Nails Inc "The Hurlingham" is simple in its appeal: it's a scorching bright slightly orange-toned red creme, and there isn't a lot else to say about it. It is absolutely perfect, and while it is very, very bright, it is not tacky in the slightest - I think it's a very flattering shade, especially for paler skin tones.

Application is typical Nails Inc creme perfection - flawless in two coats. Pictures all show two coats with base & top coat:

Do you like red nails? I love them - the brighter, the better!

TarasTalons "Rainbow Maker" NOTD

Hello again dearlings, am I not spoiling you with two posts in as many days?! :D

Today's NOTD features my newest polish baby, which landed in my paws this morning! TarasTalons "Rainbow Maker" is a glitter topper consisting of a multitude of rainbow coloured particles in varying shapes and sizes, and a delicate scattering of extremely fine holographic sparkle (which my camera failed to pick up). None of the particles are very large, so it provides a lovely almost speckled effect on the nail, and it also means it is very easy to apply - zero fishing or placement required. I chose to wear it layered over a pale pastel yellow creme, Nails Inc "Sumner Place".

Here is Nails Inc "Sumner Place" on its own firstly, two coats, no top coat:

And here is TarasTalons "Rainbow Maker", one coat over Sumner Place, with top coat:

What do you think? I love colourful glitter toppers like this, and in combination with the pale yellow base here it's very reminiscent of spring and Easter and warmer weather :)

Happy New Year Favourites Spam!

My oh my, where does the time go? The year is ten days old already and this is only my first blog post!

Well, I received a lot of lovely polishes for Christmas so I thought I'd do a big spammy post to show them all to you, and throw in some recent favourite manicures too. Loooooooads of pictures, in no particular order, including some mobile phone pics, ultra-lazy collages created on my tablet from the confines of my bed, and virtually zero consistency when it comes to hand poses. I've been unwell, please forgive me!

Shall we look?
