Nails Inc "Chelsea Embankment" and some Christmas Matchy Matchy!

Hello friends! Well, there are only a few days until Christmas, and while I'm not really that much of a Christmas person, I always relish the opportunity to wear totally sparkly polishes and go matchy matchy crazy! So with that in mind, here is the first of a few proper Christmassy manicures I have planned for the coming days.

Nails Inc "Chelsea Embankment" is utterly simple, and that is what makes it so fantastic. It's a full-coverage gold glitter polish and there isn't really much else to say about it. It dries a little rough so I have applied two coats of top coat to smooth it out a little, although you could leave it as it is if you like the textured look.

Pictures all show two coats of Chelsea Embankment, with two layers of top coat:

Aaaand here comes the matchy matchy!

What do you think? Do you like sparkly polishes like this?

Thanks for reading, and come back again soon! :) x

Birthday Round-Up

Hello my little loves, sorry for the lack of recent blogs. I hope I have something nice for you to make up for that today, though! It was my 30th birthday on Tuesday, and I was very, very lucky to receive some beautiful polishes as presents. I have worn them all and now thought it might be nice to do a little blog post detailing them all!

I'll start with what is on my nails today and work backwards. OPI "Ink" Suede was given to me by my dear friend and fellow polish nut Hayley. She knows me so well - matte nails are the ultimate in my opinion, and I was so delighted to receive a matte version of one of my favourite OPI shades!

Here it is, two coats, no top coat:

Next is Indy's Indies "What's Your Favourite Colour?", this was one of two polishes I was given by my lovely mummy (and newly converted polish addict!). It's got pretty much every colour, shape, and size of glitter in a clear base and is flippin' amazeballs! I chose to wear one coat over a candy pink, for a really happy and fun look:

And finally, the second of the polish from mumma, ILNP "Birefriengence". I think I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves....!! Two coats, and top coat:

So there you have it! I am a very lucky Bean to have such generous friends and family! Which is your favourite?

Thanks for reading, and come back again soon :) x

Pocket Money Polishes "Breakfast At Tiffany's"

Quick and simple nail of the day today!

Pocket Money Polishes "Breakfast At Tiffany's" is a clear-based glitter topper comprising of a variety of white and green particles - tiny glitter, medium hexes and dots, small strands, and hearts. I chose to apply two coats over a pale green base - in this instance China Glaze "Re-Fresh Mint" - for a fresh yet delicate look, and finished with top coat:

What do you think? I really love this polish, it's sweet and fun but not too twee - perfect!
