Iconic Effect New Releases Swatches & Review Part 2

Hello again friends! I have more polishes from Iconic Effect's upcoming restock/new collection release to show you today!

I will give each polish a brief description and details about formula/application but will try and let the pictures speak for themselves.

Let's go!

"Winter Nights"

Two coats over a dark navy shimmer base.

Winter Nights is a clear based glitter top coat. It contains a variety of blue and silver glitters in differing shapes, sizes, shades, and finishes, and larger holographic silver and blue stars and moons. Particles were very evenly distributed and the moons and stars were very easy to extract - no fishing or placement was necessary.

"Red, Green, And Gold"

One coat over a black base.

Red, Green, And Gold is also a clear based glitter top coat, consisting of red, green, and gold and particles in differing shapes and sizes. The larger particles are ever so slightly curved - I am not sure if this is intentional but it is not detrimental in the slightest as they are not sharp, and the curved aspect allows them to catch the light. Again, very evenly distributed and not too runny, making application easy.

************

"Longest Night"

Two coats.

Longest Night is a black slightly crelly base with scattered iridescent glitter particles. This polish requires top coat to allow it to show its true nature - as with all black-based glitters, it looks a little rough without top coat. Application was unproblematic - two average-to-thick coats is what I applied, and a generous coat of Seche Vite to give that glassy smooth finish.

************

"Ashes"

 Two coats.

Ashes is a dark, charcoal grey polish with a linear holographic finish. Easy, two coat application.

************

"Steel My Heart"

 Two coats.

Steel My Heart is a steely medium blue/grey polish with linear holographic finish. The holographic aspect is slightly softer than it is in "Ashes". A similar formula to "Ashes" though - perfect in two coats.

************

"Victor Von Doom"

Two coats.

Victor Von Doom is a soft, cool-toned slightly sage green polish with a softly linear, almost scattered holographic finish. Same easy-to-apply, two-coat formula as "Ashes" and "Steel My Heart".

************

"Thank You 2013"

Two coats.

Thank You 2013 is a limited edition shade of which only ten bottles will be made available. It is a vibrant medium cornflower purple/blue with linear holographic finish. Well pigmented and easy to apply, this required two coats for a flawless finish.
